Knees are the Key!

So far, it's been the trusty Army Crawl that gets him from point A to point B. But, one day this week Josh started pulling those knees up underneath him and rocking, or what I call, doing the booty dance. And the very next day...with my parents on video phone and witnessing in real time...Josh decided to use those knees for the first time! Granddaddy is whistling, KK is cooking and doing dishes, Mommy is holding the phone and video camera, and all eyes are on Josh.........

Daddy Reads to Josh

So, the highlight of our week has been the package that Daddy sent us in the mail. It was a book for Josh and a DVD of him reading the book to Josh! We play it over and over again. Here is Josh on Day 1 and Day 2 of having Daddy on the big screen.

Again, Oldie but Goodie

These videos are from January 25th, so almost a month ago, but I wanted to share. He gets around a little better than this now...

A Little Late, but worth sharing

These photos are all from a couple of weeks ago, but I had some trouble of late getting them uploaded to my computer. Alas, better late than never...Enjoy!

This little kid is so ready to sit up on his own...look at him pulling himself up!

...and he rolls over like a pro. In fact, he can get himself out of the seat now, as well as the Bumbo, that I have put them away for the next baby (whenever that may be!). The swing is in the closet, as well!

He prefers the floor, anyway. He inevitably finds his way under the dining table, torturing Felix and making him jump up on the dining chairs. I've warned him to keep his tail tucked and not hanging down, because soon enough, this little Bambino will find it!

And look at how he pulled himself up in the stroller! The proud mother that I am, I run for the camera phone, and the cautious mother that I am, I pose with my hand reaching out so that I don't get charged with neglect.

Here he is, sitting up in his other infant seat.

This is just before he tumbles over head first onto the floor. The good mother that I am, I put the camera down and console him. And I put the infant seat in the closet.

...after all, the floor is the safest place now, and he actually prefers it. I can't keep up with him anymore!

Happy Valentine's Day

So, we both donned red and white for the occasion, and sent this photo to Daddy, with our love...

...and before this, while Mommy was getting ready, Josh crawled over to this basket and found his way in.

Then he wanted in the box, too, so I obliged. Who needs the Bumbo, when you have an empty diaper box? Hmm, an affinity for boxes...that's one thing Josh and Felix have in common. I wonder what F would do if I tossed him in, too?

Is Growth Really This Exponential?

Maybe I'm obsessed with the minutia of improvement because he's my offspring, but do you see the improvement from yesterday to today?? First it's an inch an hour then a foot an hour, now it's more like a foot a minute!

P.S. Josh highly recommends wood floor. It allows for maximum scootability.

Josh Increases His Speed Limit

(...unfortunately, I can't say the same for Elmore County and their strict speed limitations at the Base exit. Driver beware, is all I'm saying').

But Josh is getting faster! His inch per hour is turning into more of a foot per hour. See for yourself...
